3 ‘robbers’ beaten dead in Noakhali
A mob beat dead three alleged robbers in Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali early today.
One of the deceased was identified as Azad, 32, son of Abdur Rab of Jagdananda village while identities of the two other victims could not be known immediately.
Locals said a gang of 10 to 11 robbers stormed into the house of one Enayet Bapari in the village at about 1:00am and tried to loot the valuables.
Being resisted by the family members, the bandit stabbed five people including Enayet and his son Manju.
Hearing hue and cry, locals rushed to the spot and chased the robbers, who fired two bullets to run away safely.

They were rushed to Noakhali General Hospital where another robber succumbed.
Among the injured family members, three persons -- Harun, 58, Saddam, 28, and Abdur Rahim, 32, -- were undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
