3 killed in Comilla road crash

At least three people were killed and eight injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chouddogram upazila of Comilla this afternoon.
Police said around 3:00pm a Chittagong-bound bridal party microbus collided head with a Dhaka coach en route to the capital in Nayabazar area, reports our Comilla correspondent.
Three of the microbus passengers died on the spot, Chouddogram highway police sergeant Md Shahabuddin told The Daily Star.
The injured were admitted to the local upazila health complex and the bodies sent to Comilla Medical College morgue for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Sakandar Ali, 60, his granddaughter Fatima Akhter Tultul, 9, and Hosne Ara Begum, 48.
A case was filed with Chouddogram Police Station in this connection.
