3 killed in Badda road crash
Three people including two rickshaw pullers and a pedestrian were killed as a passenger bus hit them recklessly from behind at Badda Bus Stand in Dhaka this morning.
The deceased were identified as Billal, 33, and Liton Akanda, 30, both are rickshaw pullers, and Taher Uddin, 65, a security guard, Md Asad, sub-inspector of Gulshan Police Station, told The Daily Star.
A Uttara-bound bus of Suprobhat Paribahan from Badda hit the two rickshaw pullers and pedestrian when they were standing in front of Confidence Tower in the area around 6:30am leaving a rickshaw puller dead on the spot, Khalid Mansur, sub-inspector of the police station, said.
The rest two died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the police official said.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee the spot.
