3 bodies found on Habiganj rail tracks
Police recovered the bodies of three people from the railway tracks in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj this morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as Shipon, 30, son of Rois Ullah; and Butna, 32, son of Nannu Mia. Both were residents of Noapara village in the upazila, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent.
The identity of another victim, aged around 28, could not be known immediately, said Osman Goni, a sub-inspector of GRP, Shayestaganj outpost.
A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the bodies lying on the railway tracks in a pool of blood near Noapara Railway Station at about 9:00am, said Noapara Stationmaster Moeenul Haque.
They might have been stabbed to death by miscreants as the bodies bore several stab marks, the SI said.
The bodies were sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
