28kg gold found at Ctg airport
Customs officials recovered 240 gold bars weighing around 28 kilogrammes from a flight at Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city of Chittagong this evening.
The flight of Regent Airways from Bangkok landed at the airport at 6:30pm, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
On information, the officials searched the flight and found the gold bars lying on the floor of a lavatory of the aircraft, said Md Mosear Rahman Mondol, an assistant commissioner of the Airport Customs.
The recovered gold bars worth Tk 12 crore were found in abandoned condition, he said.
