24 dailies getting govt ads
Some 24 national dailies are getting the government's advertisements, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu told parliament yesterday.
The dailies paying salaries and other allowances to journalists and other press staff as per the 8th wage board are getting the government's advertisements, said the minister.
Of the newspapers, ten English dailies are The Daily Star, The News Today, The Bangladesh Today, The Financial Express, New Age, The Independent, Dhaka Tribune, The Daily Observer, Daily Sun and The New Nation.
Fourteen Bangla dailies are Prothom Alo, Bangladesh Protidin, Ittefaq, Kaler Kantho, Amader Somoy, Jugantor, Janakantha, Inqilab, Manabzamin, Dainik Bartoman, Banik Barta, Bhorer Pata, Amar Sangbad and Khabor.
