The victim was identified as Taslima, 4, daughter of Golam Mostafa of Durgapur village under Charkaua union.

Mostafa had a land-related dispute with his neighbour Golam M Lichu for a long time.

As Mostafa along with his minor daughter reached near Hawlader Bari area in the morning, Lichu and his associates threw acid on Mostafa burning neck and armpit of the girl severely.

She was admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.

A case was lodged with Kotwali Police Station in this connection.
