Workshop on gender issues ends
A two-day workshop on 'Gender sensitisation programme' ended in the city yesterday, says a press release.Women and Gender Studies Department of Dhaka University (DU) with the help of Royal Netherlands Embassy and Institute of Social Studies (ISS) organised the workshop in participation of 16 DU students of nine departments. The workshop aimed at apprising the students about different important gender issues like equality, violation against women and female empowerment. Women and Gender Studies Department Chairman Ayesha Banu inaugurated the workshop while Tania Haq, a lecturer at the department, moderated.
