Digitised voter listing begins in RCC today

The digitised voter listing with photographs begins in Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) today.

Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed is expected to visit the voter listing in the city corporation on August 14.

Some 540 data entry operators, including 130 females, will start taking photos and fingerprints through laptops at 37 points in all 30 RCC wards.

The work will start in phases at 101 registration centers in the city. Some 908 enumerators (data collectors) have been collecting voters' information visiting door-to-door since July 29.

There will be 182 supervisors under 30 assistant registration officers for about 2.80 lakh possible voters.

Three computer servers were set up at Primary Training Institute, Ruet campus and Rajshahi district stadium for coordinating works of all data entry operators.
