"Chena Jana": Focusing on philanthropists

TV show Chena Jana, hosted by eminent cultural personality Ramendu Majumdar, is currently on air on BTV. The programme features insights into the lives of prominent personalities who have dedicated their lives to the cause of mankind. Tonight the spotlight will be on Valerie Taylor, the founder of CRP. The organisation has so far treated over 250,000 people with neurological and other spinal injury related problems and has initiated community-based rehabilitation programmes in more than 100 upazillas. Valerie, a recipient of the Independence Day Award is an honorary citizen of Bangladesh. The programme produced by Faruk Bhuiya is aired every other Wednesday at 9:30pm.
