JMB member arrested

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-9) arrested a member of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Dhaka in the early hours of yesterday. Acting on a tip-off, the team raided Meradia Bhuiyan Para in Khilgaon and arrested Abdus Samad, 27, son of Raj Ali of village Binnakuri in Muktagacha. Abdus Samad, an Ehsar member of JMB, was wanted in connection with a bank robbery that took place in Muktagachha, Rab sources said. He is also an accused in Anwar and Rafique Master murder case.
