‘Release Hasina’

Around 300 former leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of Awami League (AL), yesterday demanded unconditional release of Awami League Sheikh Hasina before 15 August. They also demanded that 15 August be observed as National Mourning Day. They also protested freezing the bank accounts of Bangabandhu's family members. Signatories to the statement include Baloram Podder, Marufa Akhtar Popy, Ashraful Azim Rubon, Abdul Wadud Khokon, Saifuzzaman Shekhor, Rafiqul Islam Katowal, Zakir Hossain Maruf, ABM Mazhar Anam, Wahidur Rahman Tipu, Miraj Hossain, Istak Ahmed Shimul, Sheikh Arif and others.
