Special TV programmes on Tagore's death anniversary

Channel-i To observe Rabindranath Tagore's death anniversary, Channel-i will air special programmes. Highlights of the programmes:Based on Tagore's short story Pratihingsha, a two-episode TV play Indrani Janey will be aired at 11:30pm on August 5 and 6. Dramatisation has been done by Professor Momotajuddin Ahmed and Rehana Samdani has directed the play. Shahed, Priya Dias, Tazin, Hillol and Momotajuddin Ahmed have played the lead roles. Special episode of popular talk show Grameenphone Tritiyomatra will be aired at 9:45pm on August 6. Hosted by Faridur Reza Shagor, the programme will highlight Tagore's life and works. Noted poets of the country will recite poems on Tagore in the programme, Rabindranath-ke Nibedito Kabitamala. The show will be aired at 11:30am on August 6. Musical programme featuring Tagore songs performed by artistes from Chittagang will be aired at 12:05pm August 6. Special programme Shorashori Rabindranath will be aired at 3:05pm, the same day. Poet Asad Chowdhury is the host of the programme. A documentary on Tagore, titled Nana Rabindranath-er Mala, will be aired at 6:20pm on august 6. Produced by Shahidul Alam Sachchu, the programme is hosted by filmmaker Tareque Masud. Special programme Sraboney Plaboney will be aired at 9:35pm on August 7. Noted Tagore singer Rezwana Chowdhury Banya is the host of the programme. The show features songs by Rezwana Chowdhury Banya, Pijush Barua and Azizur Rahman and poetry recitation by Bhaswar Bandopadhyay.
