Campaign against corruption through theatre

Shachetan Nagorik Committee (SNC), Satkhira district unit of Transparency International of Bangladesh (TIB), has started an innovative campaign to generate awareness among the people to combat corruption.

A six-day-long drama workshop was recently organised by SNC's Gana Natya Dal. The workshop concluded at Satkhira Pourashabha Auditorium. Convenor of the workshop Advocate A.K.M. Shahidullah chaired the event. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Kefayetullah was the chief guest.

Artistes of Gana Natya Dal staged a play at the venue to create awareness among the people about the ill effects of corruption in the society. The play depicted how corruption hinders development.

Advocate Tapan Kumar Chakraborty inaugurated the workshop and Paltu Bashar presided over the event.

The programme seemed to inspire the audience to take a stance against corruption.
