ICT awareness programme at Mymensingh
A two-day information and communications technology (ICT) awareness programme jointly organised by the ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC) under the Ministry of Commerce and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) began in Mymensingh yesterday, says a press release.

Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Prof Musharraf Hussain was the chief guest at the inaugural function while Mustafa Mohiuddin, joint secretary, Ministry of Commerce, was the special guest.

Md Ghulam Hussain, joint secretary and coordinator, Business Promotion Council, presided over the function.

President of Mymensingh Computer Samity Nazmul Hassan and President of Bangladesh Computer Samity Md Faizullah Khan spoke on the occasion.

The ICT awareness programme discussions included Customised software solutions, yroy4ee business solution, call centre industry and outsourcing business in Bangladesh, digital photography solution using IT products, Systech enterprise resource planning (Systech ERP), IP telephony, language research work in ICT, high speed mobile internet technology, Bijoy Bangla software, library management software, Nikash v 3.0 of integrated accounts, inventory, billing and payroll application software.
