Clinker vessel sinks in Bay

A clinker vessel sunk due to strong wave on the Bay of Bengal at Sandwip channel early morning yesterday. All the 12 crews of the ship were, however, rescued by some fishing trawlers, sources said. The vessel MV Tiran loaded with 1,350 MT clinker of Holcim Cement Factory left Chittagong port for Meghna Ghat at around 2.00am. Port sources said the vessel sunk at around 6:00am but some nearby fishing trawlers rescued the crews.
