Two women

If we follow the nature or religion metaphorically we will observe that both emphasize counter-action, whether it is in the form of typhoons, calamities, draughts, floods, earthquakes or as the scriptures suggest: God will do this or that if we fail to follow certain codes of conduct. Responsibility and accountability are qualities heavily emphasized in any civilised society and according to religious scriptures, "patience and thankfulness" (Sabr and Shokar) are undeniable virtues.

After the birth of my beloved country ( Bangladesh), I was only a 5th grader; we observed a lack of the above mentioned virtues in every aspect of life. As a clinical psychiatrist, observing Eastern philosophy vs. Western philosophy, we probably could conclude that RELATIVE peace could be achieved both covertly and overtly. However, expression of verbal impulsivity (in case of Sheikh Hasina) or passive aggressive behaviour and nepotism (by Khaleda Zia) could be extremely pathological to achieve any relative peace, and their collective personality is nothing but hindrance in that endeavour. Their incapability to take responsibilities only shows us the absence of two important virtues of life.

I have no idea how these two women were raised or brought up. However, observing their action and lack of magnanimity to say sorry reminds me of two immature children, who argue and fight most of the time when appropriate limits are not set for them.

However, in the presence of the parents when they are grounded they become friends and the cycle will repeat.
