Rajuk taskforce arrests developer

The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) taskforce arrested an owner of a real estate company from Paltan area in the city yesterday on charges of using fake documents and changing Rajuk-approved design while constructing a building. A team of the taskforce raided the residence of Jitu Sarkar Yusuf, managing director and co-owner of Square Homes Limited, and arrested him at around 1:00pm. He was handed over to Paltan police in the evening. Mobarak Hossain, an official of Rajuk authorised office-4, filed a case against the arrestee. In the case, the complainant said the accused has been constructing a building at Shantinagar violating building codes and changing the Rajuk-approved design. Investigation officer of the case Sub-Inspector Yunus Ali said the arrestee told him that he is one of the five owners of the company.
