Booter Nasir passes away

Capt (retd) Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, a star Wari Club footballer, died of heart attack yesterday at his residence in Pallabi. He was 56.He left behind his wife, two daughters and three sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. As a defender, Nasir was an important player in the famous Wari line-up in the 70s. He was also a national referee. Condoling the death, Bangladesh Football Federation prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy for the bereaved family.
