Documentary on Hasan Hafizur Rahman

A documentary titled Hasan Hafizur Rahman: Life and Works was screened at Liberation War Museum on July 14. Hafizur Rahman Sangsad arranged the programme. National Professor Kabir Chowdhury inaugurated the programme. Noted personalities Syed Shamsul Haque, Dr. Anisuzzaman and Aminul Islam were also present at the programme.The 67-minute-long documentary contains Hafizur Rahman's notable works during different periods. His involvement in the Language Movement and in Liberation War, as well as his contribution as a journalist and press counsellor in different countries have also been featured in the documentary. Dr. Anisuzzaman has provided suggestions and pointers during the making of the documentary. Rafiqueullah Khan has done the research for the film. The documentary has been directed by Babul Biswas. Hasan Hafizur Rahman started his career as a sub-editor in the weekly publication Begum in 1952. After the Liberation War he worked in Dainik Bangla. Shimanto Shibir-e, Aro Duti Mrityu, Amar Bhetorer Bagh and more are some of his notable literary works.
