Optimism has no substitute

climate and culture. I must say that our country has a rich cultural heritage and great natural beauty that's hard to describe. But it is a matter of great regret that the country is still lagging behind others insofar as progress is concerned. I dream of a modern Bangladesh free from poverty, diseases and superstitions. I want Bangladesh to emerge as an industrial giant; so that its economy may compete with that of the most advanced nations of the world. I'm sure most Bangladeshis share my views.
