Tenth anniversary of ATN Bangla
An array of special programmes

Today marks the tenth anniversary of ATN Bangla, the first satellite channel in Bangladesh. Starting in 1997, ATN Bangla now airs their programmes in 137 countries. The channel's horizon will include Australia from next month. On the occasion of its anniversary ATN Bangla will air several special programmes today and tomorrow, including TV plays, musical programmes, talk shows, films and more -- today and tomorrow. Highlights of the programmes:Live show "Hot Seat" Directed by Tashik Ahmed and hosted by Munni Saha, Hot Seat will be aired at 10:30am today. Noted personalities from various spheres of the society will attend the programme. Lively adda, singing and much more in the programme will be telecast live. Talk Show "Alaap" Alaap, a special programme on women who have made significant contributions to the country, will be aired at 1:30 pm today. Directed and presented by Shahnaz Munni, the programme will feature human rights activist Sultana Kamal, advocate Syeda Rezwana Hasan and novelist Selina Hossain talking about different aspects of the electronic media. News-based programme "Off the Record" Directed by J.E. Mamun, Off the Record, features the untold, behind-the-scene activities that take place in the newsroom everyday. The programme will be aired today at 6:30pm. Baul songs in "Matir Gaan" Directed by Faisal Mahmood, Matir Gaan -- featuring Baul songs -- will be aired tomorrow at 8:30am. Shot at a village in Manikganj district, the show includes performances by Baul Torab Ali Dewan, Aftab Dewan, Shathi Sarkar and others. Magazine show "Golpey Anondey ATN Bangla" Directed by Fakhrul Abedin and hosted by Karovi Mizan, Golpey Anondey ATN Bangla will be aired tomorrow at 8:20pm. Noted media personalities Anisul Haque, Mita Chowdhury, Tamanna Rahman, Ornob, Sahana Bajpaie, Bappa Majumdar, Mehrin and Richi Solaiman have taken part in the programme.
