The dead was identified as Imtiajuddin Shuvo, son of former chairman of Daudkandi pourashava Nasiruddin Ahmed and a BBA first year student of the university.

Sources said Touhid, one of Shuvo's friends, called him out of his home at Segunbagicha in the capital on Friday afternoon. Touhid informed Shuvo's father over phone that Shuvo was killed in a road accident in Comilla yesterday morning.

Police recovered the body that bore some marks of stabbing. Police suspected that he might have been slain.

A complaint was lodged with Kotwali Police Station against Shuvo's two friends -- Touhid and Sohag.
