SSC Exams in 2009
Guardians urge CG not to introduce SQ method

Guardians of high school students yesterday urged the caretaker government not to introduce Structural Question (SQ) method for SSC examinations in 2009, as most teachers, guardians and students are still in the dark about the new system.

The SSC examinees who are due to sit for the exams in 2009 are worried about the new system as the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) is yet to issue any guidelines on the SQ method, they said at a press conference.

"We have already submitted a memorandum requesting the caretaker government to introduce the new system in 2010," said Shahela Parvin, a guardian.

The SSC examinees of 2009 batch have started their academic session around six and a half months ago, but they still do not know anything about the new system, said Parvin Akhtar, another guardian.

Guardians of Motijheel Ideal School, Willes Little Flower School and Motijheel Girls School were present at the press conference.
