Treatment of Sabina starts in Singapore

The condition of ailing singer Sabina Yasmin improved hours after she was admitted to National Cancer Centre of Singapore General Hospital on Wednesday.

Sabina is being treated under Dr Toh Han Chong.

Before she was taken to Singapore, the noted singer was under cancer and medicine expert Lt Col (retd) Mofazzel Hossain of Labaid Specialised Hospital in the capital.

Sabina's daughter Badhon informed Labaid physicians that Sabina's Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and PET-CT scan (a way of detecting organs infiltrated by lymphoma) were done yesterday.

The doctors in Singapore found problems in Sabina's liver but they may start chemotherapy today (Saturday), Badhon told the doctors here.
