The operation was led by Metropolitan Magistrate Md Atiqul Haque.

According to a press release issued by Rab-6, the seized 72 master cartons containing 720 kilograms of hilsa were concealed in the cold storage for the last one month with a view to selling it at an abnormal price.

The seized hilsa will be sold in kitchen markets today.

The owner of Atlas Sea Food Ltd SM Mizanur Rahman told this correspondent that he had kept the master cartons in the cold store to save it from being damaged and to export it to Italy.
