Barrister Ishtiaq's anniversary of death today
Today is the fourth death anniversary of Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, a prominent lawyer and former adviser to a caretaker government, says a press release. On the occasion, Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Smriti Parishad has taken different programmes. Wreaths will be placed at his grave at Banani and fateha will be offered. A milad mahfil will be held at an orphanage. He made immense contribution to the legal arena of Bangladesh and acted as an attorney general and an adviser to the caretaker governments in 1996 and 2001. He also played a role in the democratic movement in Bangladesh.
