PKSF-Concern MoU to help extreme poor
Concern Worldwide and PKSF yesterday signed an MoU that will facilitate 15 local NGOs get benefit from micro-finance funds to improve the lives of the extreme poor."Despite the wide availability of funds in Bangladesh, many NGOs that operate in remote areas such as Haor and Char fail to benefit through lack of awareness and failure to meet minimum performance criteria," said Concern MF Adviser Achyut Aryal. Concern and PKSF undertake to proactively strengthen such organisations so that funds for extreme poor can be utilised effectively. At the ceremony held at PKSF Bhaban, Dr MA Hakim, General Manager and Kieron Crawley, Country Director signed on behalf of PKSF and Concern respectively.
