Gourcuff extends Milan contract

Talented French midfielder Yoann Gourcuff has signed a one-year contract extension with AC Milan, the Serie A club said on Tuesday. The 20-year-old's new deal will keep him with the reigning European champions until 2012. Gourcuff, who joined AC Milan from French first division side Rennes last summer, is regarded as a star in the making but spent most of last season on the bench. Gourcuff played for the France side that won the 2005 under-19 European championship.
