Prime suspect arrested

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested the prime accused in Arefin Alam Rusho murder case from a super market at Khilgaon in the city yesterday.The arrestee was identified as Khizir Alam alias Swapan, 33. The police also seized a motorcycle Sawpan used during muggings. They said Swapan and his accomplices snatched Tk 4.5 lakh from Rusho, son of an army officer, and shot him dead at Satmasjid Road in Dhanmondi on May 24. On June 3, the police arrested Sirajul Islam Siraj, an accused in the case, who told them that Swapan was involved in the killing. Acting on his information, police arrested Swapan during a raid on the super market.
