Ex-whip Suja sued for not submitting wealth report


Former whip Mostafa Rashidi Suja has been sued along with his family for not submitting wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) by the deadline.

ACC Deputy Director Moniruzzaman Khan filed the case with Ramna Police Station on Monday against Rashidi Suja, his wife Khodeja Rashidi and his two daughters, Sanjida Rashidi Simmi and Taniza Rashidi Turki.

The case was filed under Section 26/27 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, Section Gha (5) of the Emergency Powers Act and Section 109 of Bangladesh Penal Code.

Mostafa Rashidi Suja was elected parliament member from Khulna-4 constituency in the 1996 general elections and made whip by the then ruling Awami League.
