9,140kg of hilsa seized

Joint forces yesterday seized 9,140 kgs of frozen hilsa from an export firm at Kathaltola in Fakirhat upazila on charge of hoarding.Acting on a tip-off, they raided Rupsha Fish and Alive Company and seized the fish. The government has imposed a ban on export and hoarding of the delicious fish due to its short supply to the local markets.
