Hotel staff shot in city

A staff of a residential hotel was shot wounded by a gang of miscreants at Chowdhurypara in Malibagh in the city yesterday.Police said two miscreants entered Meraj Residential Hotel at about 9:30am and looked for its manager for tolls demanded earlier. As the manager was not there, the criminals came out of the hotel and opened fire on hotel staff Khalilur Rahman, 30. Khalil, hailed from Baumohal village in Nalchhiti upazila under Jhalakathi district, was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital with bullet wounds in his leg.
