Fertiliser stock adequate, says industries adviser

Adviser for Industries Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury yesterday said the fertiliser stock in the country is more than it is needed to meet the demand during this year's Aman season."There is no fertiliser crisis in the country. The government is fully aware of the farmers' demand and determined to ensure proper distribution of fertiliser among them," she told the news agency at her office. She said the present government is contemplating establishment of new urea fertiliser factories in the country to increase production and meet the farmers' demand.
