Police in separate drives conducted different areas of Naldanga upazila arrested two criminals including a close associate of executed Jamaa'tul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) second-in-command Bangla Bhai on Tuesday.Acting on a tip-off, police raided Naldanga bazaar at about 2:30 pm and arrested Afsar Ali, a close associate of Siddiqul Islam Bangla Bhai, police said. In another drive conducted at Chhatarbhag village in the same upazila at about 3:15 pm, police arrested Sanwar Hossain Tulu, a cadre of former Deputy Minister for Land Ruhul Quddus Dulu. Police said the arrested criminals are wanted in a number of cases.
