AL leader held on charges of terrorism

The joint forces yesterday arrested an Awami League leader from the city on charges of terrorism. Hazi Zahid, president of Rajshahi city Sainik League is ranked 19th among the listed terrorists, said Boalia police. He went into hiding since the state of emergency came into being. Zahid raised a terrorists' gang in the city's Barakuthi area. He was also accused for influencing auction of seized customs goods.
