Assault of pregnant worker by Chinese staff condemned
Karmojibi Nari (KN) yesterday condemned the assault of a pregnant worker by a Chinese female official at a factory at Dhaka Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and demanded proper investigation into the incident and exemplary punishment of the responsible, says a press release.The Chinese woman allegedly kicked and injured Asma, a day labourer of Red Point Factory at the Old Zone of Dhaka EPZ, stated the KN statement. President of KN Shirin Akhter and General Secretary Sharmeen Kabir in the statement expressed deep shock at the incident and said it is highly disheartening and demoralising to see a woman labourer being assaulted by a foreign official.
