Rainy days

I hate rain. Now whenever it rains instead of getting relief and respite from the scorching heat and humid atmosphere, I get the horrible feeling that now the whole area where I live will be submerged with rainwater. The drains will overflow with filthy water, the cars, baby-taxis, and rickshaws and other hand-pushed carts as well as trucks and buses will get stuck in the rainwater, causing immense sufferings to the daily commuters including school going boys and girls. On the whole, the situation will be a chaotic one. Can the present caretaker government take the issue seriously and save the metropolitan city from getting inundated whenever it rains?
