N'ganj Awami Swechchhashebok League leader held

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday held Narayanganj Awami Swechchhashebok League President Shariful Huq alias Buitta Sharif and a peshkar (court official) from the court premises on charge of bribery.Sharif is an accused in a case that was filed with Fatullah Police Station in 2001. The case is being heard in the court. On secret information that Sharif was on the court premises, Rab officials took position there and when he was offering Tk 4000 to the Peshkar Abul Hossain, Rab officials caught them red-handed. Sharif admitted that he gave the bribe as Abul assured him of managing a bail in the case.
