Forty countries, split into eight groups, will compete in the three-day meet.

"We're very much optimistic to fare well in the competition. We seek blessings of the countrymen," said team captain Eshak at a press conference at the BFF conference room yesterday.

Team manager Aminul Islam said, "We're well prepared, although we did not get enough time for preparation."

BFF president SA Sultan, general secretary Anwarul Hoque Helal, deputy general secretary Manzoor Hossain Malu were present.

The squad: Mohammad Eshak (captain), Salahuddin, Abu Jaher Tipu, Mejbahuddin, Suman Kawsar Ali Rabbi, Hafizur Rahman, Zakir Hossain, Mohammad Sakir, Mohammd Riad, Abul Hossain, Abdul Kader, Sanjit Kumar Das and Aminur Rahman.
