Cellphone set shop manager robbed of Tk 2.83 lakh

Manager of a cellphone set shop robbed of Tk 2,83,000 in cash and a mobile phone set by a gang of muggers at Central Road in the city yesterday.The miscreants waylaid Bazlur Rahman Apu, manager of MMN Telecom at Dhanmondi, when he was going to the residence of owner of the shop at Central Road in a rickshaw. The muggers hit Apu with pistol in his head as he tried to resist them when they were snatching the bag containing the said money. He was rushed to a city clinic with head injuries. Owner of the shop filed a case with Dhanmondi Police Station in this connection.
