One murdered in city

Adopted son of the owner of an under-construction building was murdered by a carpenter over payment of arrear at Badda in the city yesterday, family sources said.The dead was identified as Mohammad Milon, 23, adopted son of Foyez Khan of Block-D, Bashundhara Residential area. Foyez Khan called in carpenter Ismail Hossain to settle the issue of arrear payment at around 10:00am. The incident occurred when Ismail and Foyez were locked into an altercation over the quality of work. Ismail stabbed Milon when he tried to stop him (Ismail) while fleeing after violently pushing aside Foyez, victim's family sources said. Milon was rushed to Apollo Hospitals at Bashundhara where on-duty doctor declared him dead. Police recovered the body from the hospital and sent to the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) morgue for autopsy. Milon's foster father Foyez said the construction work of the building started one month ago. Milon looked after the construction work, he added. He said Milon recruited Ismail but discharged him after two weeks for low quality of work. A murder case was filed with Badda Police Station in this connection.
