Construction worker dies in rooftop fall

A construction worker died after falling off the roof of a six-story under-construction building at Lalmatia in the city yesterday.The dead was identified as Mohammad Babu, 30. Witnesses said Babu was working on the roof of the building and suddenly fell down to the ground at around 1:00pm. He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
