China eyes Airbus plants
Afp, Shanghai
One of China's major state-run aircraft makers may be interested in buying some of Airbus's plants in Europe, state press said on Wednesday, citing a senior company official. "If a Chinese aerospace company could successfully buy or take a stake in (Airbus plants), it would contribute hugely to the development of our industry," the China Business News quoted AVIC I general manager Lin Zuoming as saying at the Paris air show. "China would become a very competitive supplier."
