Rampal police with the help of locals arrested two muggers Dulal Hossain, 32, of Manikganj and Masud Talukdar, 31, of Jhalakati while two others managed to escape.

A private car and a pistol were seized and the looted money was recovered from them, police said.

Trader Noor Muhammad was rushed to a local clinic with bullet wounds. He told the

police that the miscreants in a car intercepted him at Pakhirmore at about 8:00am and shot him in his leg and snatched away the money from him.
