Our correspondent from Tangail reports: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Sadar upazila in the district yesterday.

Police and witnesses said the accident took place when a Tangail-bound passenger bus from Bhuapur hit a bus standing on the road at LGED Intersection in Tangail municipal area at around 11:30am, leaving two bus passengers dead on the spot and three others injured.

Of the dead, one was identified as Mohammad Rahiz Miah, 20, helper of the bus, while the identity of the other aged about 18 could not be known immediately.

The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital.

Police sent the bodies to morgue for autopsy.

A Correspondent from Thakurgaon adds: A minor boy was killed in a road accident on Vomradhoho-Nekmarad road at Khamar Shanua under Pirganj upazila yesterday.

The dead was identified as Molin Dev, 10, son of Suruj Dev, of Khamar Shanua village under Pirgonj upazila in the district.

Locals and family members rushed Molin to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
