Santangelo, Molik win doubles

Australia's Alicia Molik and Mara Santangelo of Italy won the French Open women's doubles title on Friday with a 7-6 (7/5), 6-4 win over Japan's Ai Sugiyama and Slovenia's Karatina Srebotnik.It was Molik's second Grand Slam title having teamed with Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova to win the 2005 Australian Open. The 26-year-old Australian was also runner-up with Todd Woodbridge in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2004. The 96-minute win was played out in front of just a few spectators on Court Philippe Chatrier with the match not finishing until 1910 GMT.
