Poetry on nature, love and melancholy


Cultural organisation Prokash Shahitya Shangskritik Shangathan arranged a programme of recitation titled "Badla Diner Ektana Sur" at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on June 4. The programme featured recitations of poems on love, nature and sorrows.

The event started with a group recitation of the poems Bangladesh, Boshekhi and Borsha by Kazi Nazrul Islam, Amirul Islam and Satyendranath Dutta respectively. Solo recitations included Rabindranath Tagore's Borshar Diney, Bristi Porey Tapur Tupur, Kazi Nazrul Islam's Kabyo Geeti, Tomarey Porichhey Mon-e, Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah's Brishtir Jonno Prarthona, Nirmalendu Goon's Smaran, Ahmed Sofa's Geeti Kobita, Humayun Azad's Choley Gechho Bohu Duur and more.

The programme was directed by Fayzul Alam, secretary of the organisation. The event ended with a group recitation by Fayzul Alam, Shormi Choudhury, Naimuzzaman, Menoka Shome, Kazi Masum Ashraf, Zakia Tazin and the others.
