10 hurt in Munshiganj clash

At least 10 people were injured in a clash over transaction of a counterfeit note in Madankhali village under Shrinagar upazila in Munshiganj yesterday.The injured were identified as Rob Sheikh, 72, Jhinu, 40, Shumon, 28, and Sheikh Shumon, 26. Local sources said the dispute ensued around 2:30pm when a local youth, Liton bought items at a local shop using a counterfeit note of Tk 500. When the shopkeeper discovered the note, he notified the locals who asked Liton about source of the counterfeit note. Being angry at the question, Liton later attacked them with his gang. Jhinu Miah, one of the locals said Liton had circulated counterfeit notes in the market in the past. The injured were taken to Shrinagar Upazila Health Complex.
