SI sent to jail for keeping phensidyl

A police sub-inspector of Bogra sadar police station was suspended and arrested yesterday on charge of possessing phnsidyl.

SI Matlubur Rahman was sent him to jail after 45 bottles of Phensydile were recovered from his personal locker at the police station.

A team led by Bogra Police Superintendent Bogra Zamil Ahmed searched Motlubur's personal locker Saturday night following an allegation that he released two drug peddlers--Shipon and Liton--after nabbing them with Phensydile bottles on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, the officer-in-charge of the police station assigned Motlubur to arrest Shipon and Liton from Badurtala in the city. Motlub went there, caught the two drug peddlers and allegedly released them after seizing the drugs.

The SI took the drugs and kept it in his personal locker without filing any general diary.
